For Figma’s flagship Config 2024 conference, One Hat One Hand partnered with Sparks Marketing to fabricate a series of soaring sculptural kites that transformed Moscone Center into a dynamic, three-dimensional brand experience.

Drawing from Figma’s shape-based visual identity, we engineered, prototyped, and fabricated 14 box kites—some reaching 17 feet tall—using CNC-cut frames and custom-tensioned fabric. Each piece was meticulously finished in-house and safely suspended above the event space through carefully planned rigging systems.

Our team collaborated closely with Sparks and Figma’s creative leads to translate digital design elements into a physical environment that was bold, joyful, and photogenic from every angle. From structural prototyping and scenic finishing to rigging and on-site installation, One Hat One Hand delivered a seamless build that helped make Config not just a place with art—but a place as art.
