Sometimes knowing where we are going requires looking back to see where we have been. We like to remember the roads we took along the way. Coming into our 15th year in Business, Chrisray Collins talks a bit about the guts, grit, luck and glory of One Hat One Hand an acclaimed Art Fabrication Company based in San Francisco.

"The inspiration for Marcus and me to secure a space for building things stemmed from our experience in public art. We had collaborated on numerous art projects over the years prior to having a dedicated space and shop. Transitioning from that, a pivotal moment arrived during the Panhandle Bandshell project when about 12,000 square feet were generously donated. This provided us with a delightful glimpse of what it meant to have the capacity to create large-scale, beautiful works. I suggested the idea of acquiring a small space, envisioning it to be relatively modest at that point. However, the opportunity to purchase a Scenic shop, known as Scene Two in our current main location, presented itself, exceeding what we had initially envisioned as our path or direction. My expertise, rooted in a long-term background in building, and Marcus's background, rich in building and primarily production, lent itself very well to our skill sets, particularly in set building. This is the genesis of our journey from where we initiated to where we find ourselves today. Those now seeking our expertise are essentially requesting us to undertake exactly what we ventured into 14 years ago when we entered the business and acquired a large-scale space."
